The Tureya Foundation, in association with Blissful Life, is currently offering programs for children and teenagers of Indian origins. The programs are designed to direct the children towards their cultural roots and teach them about the heritage and traditions of India.
Our current generation stand at a unique time in history as people of Indian origins have migrated in mass numbers to international communities throughout the world. This new era of first and second generation foreign nationals and non-resident Indians have been disconnected from their cultural heritage as they are raised upon values and social practices of a different society.
In order to help children and young adults reestablish their identity as an Indian, the Tureya Foundation and Blissful Life are offering the "Back to the Roots" program. Students spend 2 weeks to a month traveling through India, learning about a wide variety of traditions and cultural rituals. Students visit temples, spiritual sites, historical monuments, and community centers that are vital to India's history and culture. They also learn about India's history as they have direct, hand-on experience of the mother soil.
